It meant that I couldn&amp;#8217;t eat everything and anything I wanted, whenever I wanted. I had to learn to control my cravings and to understand what it is to eat healthy and exercise so that I can feel good about myself. It&amp;#8217;s the reason I&amp;#8217;m disciplined and why this is my fifth year without unhealthy fast food. I&amp;#8217;m SO happy I&amp;#8217;ve had to learn not to stuff my body with junk and that I hardly ever get sick anymore.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Thank you, mum and dad, for making me a chubby kid!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Today was hot and humid, I felt lethargic and unmotivated all day but I still forced myself to go for a run on the treadmill because I knew I&amp;#8217;d feel so much better afterwards. Only 6km, but felt much better than I expected to. After my shower, I felt even more amazing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Endorphins are INCREDIBLE :)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;On a final note, I spent Valentine&amp;#8217;s Day in Sydney with my best friend and had the loveliest time. Even losing my favourite (and expensive) sunnies didn&amp;#8217;t dampen my mood. The garlic bread could have been slightly less… Burnt? Ah well, smiles all around the table anyway! For some reason, I always forget that summer is also Christmas and uni/work holidays time. This past month has consisted of little more than cake, constant eating out, picnics, and spending too much time within 10m of the kitchen… And that “little more” is fish &amp; chips and ice creams on the beach. And a lot of dark chocolate here and there! That makes me healthy, right?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ergo, a health blog.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Luckily I get too restless sitting in one place for longer than an hour, so exercise is never a problem for me. Eating healthy isn’t a problem either, when I remind myself how much I actually love healthy food. And also how much better eating healthy makes me feel. So, really, this is mainly to help keep me motivated until I get back into my usual routine and give myself a chance to REALLY crave a chocolate cake rather than eating it because it’s there and I can. And, hopefully, I can inspire someone else along the way :)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Today was a relatively healthy day of almond spread and rice and fish and fruit… Thankfully, not in the one meal. Tomorrow will start with my favourite soy, banana &amp; cocoa oatmeal and a cup of green tea before a dearly-missed, intense Bikram yoga session. But not before a much-needed 8 hour sleep!&lt;/p&gt;
