I’m sick of this being my “secondary” blog, since I mainly post to this one, so I’ve created a new account. Please follow! :)

Every so often, I remind myself how lucky I am that I wasn’t born with skinny genes. It meant that I couldn’t eat everything and anything I wanted, whenever I wanted. I had to learn to control my cravings and to understand what it is to eat healthy and exercise so that I can feel good about myself. It’s the reason I’m disciplined and why this is my fifth year without unhealthy fast food. I’m SO happy I’ve had to learn not to stuff my body with junk and that I hardly ever get sick anymore.

Thank you, mum and dad, for making me a chubby kid!

Today was hot and humid, I felt lethargic and unmotivated all day but I still forced myself to go for a run on the treadmill because I knew I’d feel so much better afterwards. Only 6km, but felt much better than I expected to. After my shower, I felt even more amazing.

Endorphins are INCREDIBLE :)

On a final note, I spent Valentine’s Day in Sydney with my best friend and had the loveliest time. Even losing my favourite (and expensive) sunnies didn’t dampen my mood. I’m physically and mentally exhausted from this week, but my brain and heart are smiling and I love it :)

My famous healthy and delicious choc banana soy oatmeal. And coupled with the most gorgeous sunrise. Favourite way to start the day :)

Missed you, Bikram

I think I shed at least 10 layers of dead skin in today’s class. First one in about a month, one of the downfalls of not working for over a month!

There are very few things that leave me feeling as amazing as bikram yoga. Even sweating straight out of the shower doesn’t ruin this. Ready to take on the day! And banana bread!

My first pizza! Well, first one I’ve MADE, I’ve eaten plenty of them in my 22 and a half years.

Zucchini, tomato & goats cheese! I’m pretty sure they forgot to mention you also have to be ridiculously awesome to make it successfully, because BOY was mine a success. The garlic bread could have been slightly less… Burnt? Ah well, smiles all around the table anyway! Though that could have also been the Moscato…

Parkrun #2 this morning! I made some delicious banana bread yesterday and it’s perfect with peanut butter & almond spread. So so yum. Also kept eyeing off dragonfruit at the fruit shop for forever and decided to try it, and was really disappointed with its blandness. Oh well! Better than my prickly pear experience that left me with splinters for a week…

My running & key solution! No excuses! This morning was perfect for a run, but I should have left an extra hour earlier before the sun was high enough to punch me right in the face.
